Ventura MedStaff started this giving season with $1,000 that was to be split up amongst departments for everyone to go shopping and purchase gifts for our Toys For Tots holiday toy drive.
However, the receipts are in, and we are incredibly grateful to announce that thanks to the generosity of our employees, we have more than doubled that amount for donation!
Our team and their passion for helping the community has resulted in over $2,100 worth of toys that were able to be donated to children in need.
Toys For Tots is a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps with the mission to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Their goal is to, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children.
The objectives of the Foundation are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to improving communities in the future.
We are so honored to help contribute to the spreading of joy and making a difference in our local Omaha community. The joy in giving is truly priceless!
