Michigan
When you think of Michigan, its snowy winters might come to mind, but now that winter is over, Michigan can embrace its incredible springtime! Home to miles of shoreline, incredible wilderness to explore, and lots of seasonal attractions, Michigan is the perfect state for your next travel assignment. It has something for everyone whether they are looking for a lakeside adventure, to increase their hiking skills, or to explore a big city.
Virginia
If you are looking for a state with lots to do, Virginia is a top-tier choice! It’s got a lot of history behind it being one of the original states as well as being in close distance to Washington D.C. Being in Virginia during spring means getting to see the cherry blossoms bloom, hiking to see one of the state’s numerous waterfalls, and so much more! Not only that, but spring is the start of festival season in Virginia. This means you can check out a new festival almost every week during your time off!
Wyoming
Wyoming is another hidden gem that you will want to make sure you visit during your time as a traveling therapist. Wyoming is home to some of the most popular national parks: Yellowstone & Grand Teton. Not only great for hikers – Wyoming is also home to some “Old West” cities like Cody where you can experience western charm, cowboy hats and all. Looking for something more adventurous? You can take the weekend and go white water rafting down the Snake River. Or make it a lazy weekend and go inner tubing for the day. There is a lot to do in this magnificent state!
Minnesota
This is another state that gets hit hard with snow in the winter but has a magical spring! This time of year is when Minnesota flowers begin to bloom and the state will put on flower shows – or you can take a stroll down apple blossom drive to see the apple orchards! Minnesota also has a lot of local farms to visit if you want to see all the new baby animals instead. Perfect for camping, fishing, sports, farmer’s markets, and more, make sure you check out Minnesota this spring!
Nebraska
Ventura MedStaff has its headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, so we may be a bit biased, but Nebraska is great in the spring! Home to the best zoo in America – there are baby elephants and giraffes to see currently! Plus, if you are a baseball fan, this is where the College World Series is played. The weather is perfect if you want to enjoy some of the state parks nearby, and there are lots of different spring events to check out. Not to mention, we have some pretty great steaks!
