Ventura MedStaff Contributes $1,500 to the Jeanette Hunt Blair Animal Shelter After Devastating Tornadoes

(OMAHA, Neb., May 8, 2024) – Ventura MedStaff today announced a $1,500 donation to the Jeannette Hunt Blair Animal Shelter. The donation comes after a plea from the Jeanette Hunt Blair Animal Shelter on Facebook asking for donations following the catastrophic tornadoes that recently swept through Nebraska, devastating parts of Elkhorn, Waterloo, and Blair, among parts of the Omaha Metro and Western Iowa. The stories of countless pets and animals that have endured physical and emotional trauma mirrored those of others in our community. In times of adversity, our pets offer us resilience and unconditional love, and it’s our job to make sure they feel that same support.

“It’s been amazing to see our state come together, and we wanted to make sure we did our part to make a difference,” said Ventura MedStaff CEO, Jeff Shaffar. “To us, this means helping the often-forgotten victims of natural disasters, our beloved pets.”

Our connection to the Jeanette Hunt Blair Animal Hospital runs deeper than just our geographical vicinity. It’s a reflection of our company’s commitment to our furry friends. From our special pet days in the office to the use of therapy dogs at events like TravCon, pets are integral members of our families for both our internal team members and our travelers. They offer us companionship, support, and enrich our lives in ways that words cannot express.

As we continue to navigate the aftermath of these tornadoes, it’s important to remember that strength lies in unity and compassion knows no bounds. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of all members of our community, furry friends included.
